We were engaged by a major Defence organisation to support the introduction of a new “Way of Working” for Product Introduction. The client was starting on the journey of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) using a well-established tool (Siemens Teamcenter) for the introduction of a major new product linked to funding from the MoD for a major supplier of submarines.
The PLM tool was to be introduced in various stages over the coming months, however there was an urgent need to establish a new document management process within the PLM tool.
To achieve this, we:
Established the training material in the client’s own format (from scratch) for use on a half day module. We used several animated screen shots to walk all delegates through the process.
Managed the training plan and activities to train over 700 delegates
Identified and trained 12 trainers to deliver the training workshops, coaching them during after module presentation
Developed help sheets for delegates
Continually improved each session by doing weekly “Lessons Learned” with the trainers
This was all delivered within a 12 week time span.
